I will speak about implementation.

I've learned a lot from Stephen, and I think I've figured out how to implement stuff quickly out of necessity because every time I talk to him he gives me more ideas that I can handle!

Here's a high level overview of my implementation strategies:

1. Set your goals
2. Organize your information
3. Determine critical path items
4. Assign tasks to your team members to get done
5. IMPLEMENT AND TAKE ACTION!
6. Celebrate your success

That's it in a nutshell.

I'll dive into a lot of detail on my call with Stephen.

Here are couple of things that have really helped me out with goal setting and implementation.

** The Attractor Factor, by Joe Vitale.

This is a great book all about manifesting and attracting your goals. This book, with its bright orange cover, found me as I sauntered through the book store a few weeks ago sipping my coffee. I’m always on the lookout for ways to improve my networking. I was looking for something to prepare me for the next seminar I’ll be attending (BigSeminar in Atlanta next week) – and this found me just in time.

From the dust jacket, “In Never Eat Alone, Ferrazzi lays out the specific steps – and inner mindset – he uses to reach out to connect with the thousands of colleagues, friends, and associates on his Rolodex, people he has helped and who have helped him… Ferrazzi’s form of connecting to the world around him is based on generosity, helping friends connect with other friends. Ferrazzi distinguishes genuine relationship-building from the crude, desperate glad-handing usually associated with ‘networking’. He then distills his system of reaching out to people into practical, proven principals.”

Sounds just like my friend Heshie’s principals.

What really struck me is that in this book, Keith Ferrazzi talks about giving before getting and also spirituality and success. It just really rang true for me. He also cites a quick anecdote from Eleanor Roosevelt where she uses the term enlightenment. Check it out:

“In 1936, thanks largely to the First Lady, an opera singer named Marian Anderson became the first black person to perform at the White House. But Anderson’s acceptance at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was unusual. Though Anderson was the country’s third-highest concert box-office draw, her success did not exempt her from the racial biases that pervaded her era. When traveling, she was restricted to ‘colored’ waiting rooms, hotels, and train cars. In the South, newspapers rarely called her ‘Miss Anderson’, opting for ‘Artist Anderson’ and ‘Singer Anderson’ instead.

In 1939, Anderson’s manager and Howard University tried to arrange a performance at Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. The Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), the organization that owned the Hall, refused them. Roosevelt, herself a member of the D.A.R., promptly – and publicly – resigned her membership to protest. In a letter to the D.A.R., she wrote, ‘I am in complete disagreement with the attitude taken in refusing Constitution Hall to a great artist… You had an opportunity to lead in an enlightened way and it seems to me that your organization has failed.’

Mrs. Roosevelt arranged for Anderson to perform on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The show, on April 9 (Easter Sunday), 1939, was seen by a crowd of 75,000.”

Check out this book if the above interests you.

Success,
Greg

blink!

I just finished reading Blink, by Malcolm Gladwell. He's the fellow who wrote The Tipping Point. This was a quick read, very enjoyable, and also very insightful.

According to the dust jacket, "Blink is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant - in the blink of an eye - that actually aren't as simple as they seem."

In particular, one section of the book really hit home. There's a discussion about a cardiologist named Lee Goldman. He developed a decision tree for predicting the possibility of a heart attack for chest pain sufferers that walk into emergency rooms. Left to their own devices, the ER doctors could predict a heart attack between 75 and 89 percent of the time. Goldman's decision tree, however, which was based on analyzing raw data, could accurately predict heart attacks about 95 percent of the time. What this meant is that someone with little or no training as a doctor could out-predict the actual doctors who had years of training and experience.

Of course, this drove the doctors crazy and this is the whole point. According to the book, "Doctors think it's mundane to follow guidelines. It's much more gratifying to come up with a decision on your own. Anyone can follow an algorithm. There is a tendency to say, 'Well, certainly I can do better. It can't be this simple and efficient; otherwise, why are they paying me so much money?'"

I experienced this firsthand while trying to market products on the Internet. I just couldn't believe that by following a proven system I could be successful. I thought that certainly I could do better. And I was flat out wrong.

There are a lot more snippets of insight and wisdom in this book. I highly recommend it.

Click here to get your copy today!

If You Yearn to Earn, Learn to Unlearn

Speaker Tom Antion starts off some of his presentations by giving away "awards" to recipients guilty of thinking they know how to market products (but faily miserably). It's quite funny to see him do this, but it's not so funny when you're a candidate for nearly all of his "awards" (like I was).

Since 1995, I had been developing websites for Fortune 100 companies. In the website world, you learn to make things pretty, functional, and user-friendly. You spend a lot of time on the visual elements of the page and then go to the client for content most of the time. The point is, it seems like content was not king (at least during the dot com boom at the companies I worked for). We went for the "ooooh" factor visually, and our clients loved it.

So when it came time for me to try to market information online, I did I what I learned and created a very pretty (if I do say so myself) website. It was great... but it didn't sell. So I sat there for nearly 3 years and wondered what I was doing wrong. I'd see all these ugly websites selling products and scoff at them, thinking to myself, "Boy, those guys are violating every good rule of web design."

Finally, something clicked and I decided to find the successful marketers and do exactly what they did. And what they did violated every good rule of website design... and it WORKED. Long sales pages versus short pages. Minimal graphics versus graphics-heavy. Etc. etc. etc. When I started to emulate those who had success, I began to have success.

This might seem like trivial stuff to some of you, but I was so close to what I thought was "right", I couldn't see what I was doing wrong. So the key lesson from this experience for me was:

If you yearn to earn, learn to unlearn.

So that's now permanently one of my mantras. I look forward to waking up and unlearning every day ;-)

Success,
Greg

Wealth & Success

Hi. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Greg Poulos and I'm on a personal mission of building wealth and abundance for myself, my family, my friends, and anyone else who has a burning desire for personal success.

In 2001, my Mom called and told me to turn on Oprah. She had a guest on named Robert Kiyosaki who wrote an amazing book called Rich Dad Poor Dad. This was my first key. Soon after reading this, I stopped working for "the man" and left my last "real job" after having worked in the IT business for 7 years. I've been breathing my own oxygen ever since then and it's been a rollercoaster ride.

After starting a web development company and a stock trading advisory service with my Dad, things had kind of stagnated in the spring of 2004. I tried everything I knew and ended up just working for myself, doing website development. While that's fine, I was only getting paid when I worked, which is what I wanted to get away from in the first place. I was tired of trading hours for dollars.

In April of 2004, a book called The One Minute Millionaire found its way to me. This was my second key. Ever since reading this book, my life has completely changed. My thinking has exploded, my network of like-minded associates is growing, and business and personal opportunities are everywhere.

One of the most important things I've learned so far is that I truly know how much I truly don't know. This was very humbling to realize. The key to success, it seems, is to find mentors, systems, and ideas that are already where you want to be -- and learn from and act on what they teach you.

My biggest hurdle was a mental one. I thought I knew everything... and my bank account reflected that attitude. As soon as I learned how to unlearn, I finally began to earn.

That's what The Wealth Archive is all about. I'm going to share what I learn on this amazing journey toward abundance. I'm going to donate 10% of everything I make to my favorite charities.

So let's hear it. What are your goals? What are your plans? What has worked for you? What help do you need? How can I help you 100-fold your business or idea?

Success,
Greg

p.s.
